Linked Server and Ingres (0x8004d00a)

We are facing this error when we are trying to enable transactions on
our DTS Package. We tested this by using ODBC Driver directly. It
works. But when we are trying to use Linked Server, we get this error.
Anyone pls help.
Linked servers attempt to use distributed transactions to maintain
consistency across databases. This error has to do with joining a
distributed transaction (and it failing).
You should make sure MSDTC is started. You may need to make sure that the
ODBC driver can properly do transactions as well.

|||thanks for the update. i have checked the properties related to the
msdtc and everything is in place. not sure if the odbc driver for
ingres has support for distributed transactions. because we get the
error stack with the last error message from the ca ingres odbc driver
saying 'Invalid option Type'. Once we uncheck the transactions box,
there is no issue. should i check some more properties? pls help
